Today aspiring actress Daisy Selway filmed her scenes (pictured here with her dad, Chris).
Was exciting to have our short film-Daniel Came Home- chosen and shown in an actual indie cinema. A sold out event at ActOne Cinema & Café- a beautiful two screened theatre in Acton. Great to see it on a big screen last night, only a mile from where half of it was filmed. The 200 mile round trip was worth it.
Amazing afternoon at the end of the Brighton Rocks International Film Festival awards on Sunday, 25th June, 2023. Daniel Came Home won it’s category! To quote The Rutles, “Shocked and stunned”. Presented by Tim Pope in the Brighton Komedia Cinema. Thanks to our great actors David Keyes and David Parry, to Jeanette Gregory for her make up skills and to Sherine Kamel for letting us use her flat and helping with sound (and the Doc (Sam Connolly) for his cameo). Also, to the festival itself, a great one.
Daniel Came Home has been selected for The Brighton Rocks International Film Festival. Thursday, 22nd June, 630-830 slot at The Alphabet, Brighton.
Brian’s adaption of his ‘Daniel Came Home’ script- into a short story- is being published in the fifth BHF Book of Horror Stories. It will include a still from the film and the press advert features a blurb for Daniel. The book features such authors as Lawrence Gordon Clark of BBC Ghost Stories fame and will be out this month (May,2021) details to follow…
